Sumbal’s 15-year career spans a variety of customer service and stakeholder-centric roles which helped to develop her passion for purpose-driven work that embraces people and society. As co-chair of CityFibre's Gender Network, Sumbal consults on the company’s diversity and inclusion policies. She also launched and continues to run CityFibre's highly-valued ‘Under the Surface’ employee workshop series, addressing topics such as dyslexia, men’s mental health, LGBTQ, spectrums of gender, and menopause. In addition to her Gender Network role, Sumbal is responsible for reporting on all the non-financial impacts CityFibre has on the environment and society. Sumbal joined CityFibre from Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council where her passion for breaking down barriers, embracing diversity and advocating for change was first ignited. Her commitment to making a difference and always driving for better aligns perfectly with CityFibre's own values.
