Jens Prautzsch has been CEO of Unsere Grüne Glasfaser (UGG) since June 2021. The business graduate was previously Managing Director Germany at the international data center operator Interxion, where he was responsible for the strategic development and expansion of the company in the German market. After joining Telefónica in 2003, Prautzsch held various positions ranging from Head of Corporate Strategy to Managing Director Strategy & Innovation. During this time, he continued to build up his expertise in the telecommunications sector. In 2011, after more than seven years at Telefónica, Prautzsch moved on to the regional telecommunications provider M-net, where as CEO he not only contributed to the profitable growth of the company, but also set focus in urban and rural fiber optic expansion. In 2016, Prautzsch started working for Interxion and thus dedicated himself to a new area of responsibility. His new role focused on data centers, connectivity and cloud services - key aspects of digital infrastructures. With his position as CEO at UGG, the joint venture of Telefónica and Allianz resumes the challenge of fiber optic expansion and combines it with his knowledge about digital infrastructure.
