Passionate about technology, people and promoting a fair and equal space for all, Eilish has been working in the technology space for almost 20 years. Eilish’s love for STEM began at a young age, and later became her field of study at university. Eilish has a degree in Applied Physics which gave her a very practical base for the technical career that lay ahead. She worked her way up in the industry through various roles in the telecommunications and software space – roles that included technical training, presales, solution architecture, director of product and technology before taking on the job of Viatel’s CTO. In all roles, Eilish brought her unique skill of marrying people with technology, and understanding the transformative impact that technology can have on individuals, business and society. Eilish is currently the Chief Technology Office for the Viatel Technology Group. She is an exceptional business leader with more than 5 years in leadership positions, with business experience in telecoms, software and investment management. Eilish has created a strong technology, product and people vision for her team, and for the whole Group, and is central to core market expansion. Due to her creative and supportive nature, Eilish was quickly targeted as a future senior leader, and since she stepped up to the CTO leadership role in 2019, has contributed hugely to the success of the Viatel Technology Group. Eilish has experience driving organic growth through innovative products, automation, and IT transformation, as well as identifying and integrating M&A targets for more targeted growth. Eilish also leads compliance and regulatory affairs. Eilish was identified as a key executive by investors to identify and advise on acquisitions. 7 acquisitions were completed in the last 2 years and Eilish’s leadership has been at the core of identifying, closing and integrating these businesses. Eilish leads authentically and with passion. She has also been a key driver of the pathway to a new culture within the business. This new culture is the bedrock of our success, and ultimately it is about creating and sustaining an environment where everyone can do their best work, feel part of something special and enjoy the journey!
