Alejandra de Iturriaga Gandini is currently Director of Telecommunications and Audiovisual Sector at the Spanish National Authority for Markets and Competition (CNMC). She has been Vice Chair in 2017 and 2021 in the Body of the European Regulations for Electronic Communications (BEREC) and currently member of the Board in BEREC. She has been also member of the Board in the European Regulators Group for Audiovisual Media Services (ERGA) in 2021. Ms. de Iturriaga is responsible for managing, supervising and coordinating the CNMC activity on electronic communications and audiovisual services. Her functions in the electronic communications sector involve the analysis of electronic communications markets, reference offers, conflict resolution between operators and sanctioning procedures, and consultancy activity. In the audiovisual sector, she is responsible for the enforcement of the obligations imposed on the different actors related to advertising, protection of minors, and financing of European works, amongst others.
