In 2021, Pedro Abad founded ASTEO Red Neutra and has been leading the company since its inception.
Asteo is a 100% rural wholesale FTTH operator, facilitating connectivity and digitalization through fiber optics. This enables telecommunication operators to provide communication services to rural areas. In previous executive roles, Pedro served as General Manager for Iberia at HTC (a leading global smartphone manufacturer, specializing in innovation and leading the launch of Android). He also held the position of General Manager for Spain at Lebara (a prominent MVNO operator in the international communications segment), Sales Director at Nokia Spain, and Managing Director Spain at MyTaxi (a Mercedes Daimler Group app digitizing the traditional taxi sector). Before founding Asteo, Pedro served as Director of Operations, Sales, and Marketing for Adamo Telecom, a leading FTTH deployment operator in rural areas in Spain. Pedro strongly believes in internet connectivity as a vehicle to offer equal opportunities to all citizens, whether they live in rural or urban areas.
